Holding a BS in Telecommunications, a BS in Electrical Engineering and a MS in Computer and Communication Engineering the founder started his studies in Lebanon and continued his education in the United States.

Upon his graduation, Mr. AKL worked for a high profile Electrical Contractor based in New York city over a period of 10 years in which he learned all aspects of this business. From residential to commercial, institutional to industrial his expertise covered high rises high end projects all across Manhattan where he worked with top renowned Architects and Consultants.

Mr. AKL’s passion in this industry lead him to pursue his license as a Professional Engineer in the State of New York, he also is an accredited LEED AP, a certified PMP, a 6 Sigma Green Belt certified and is a member of the Orders of Engineers and Architects in the district of Beirut. In 2010 the founder moved to the GCC where he worked in Qatar for two years before moving back to his home country.

Heading the Electrical department for one of the major Main Contractors in the country, it was a matter of time before he decided to establish his own company, in 2013, and start applying what he had learned from the best. 6 years later, with a diversified portfolio and a growing team, Mr. AKL is expanding his operation and in turn RACE-Africa is now live, striving to become the leader in MEP Contracting on an International level.
