Before RACE existed, its founder spent ten years in Manhattan, delivering high-rise and high-end buildings for a leading New York electrical contractor alongside some of the most exacting architects and consultants in the industry. New York teaches a contractor one lesson above all others: a project is decided in its details, long before anyone reaches the site.
RACE was founded in Beirut in 2013 to build to that standard. We are professional electromechanical contractors — engineering kept in-house, coordination resolved on the drawing board rather than in the shaft, and a client who hears from us before they have to ask. In this business communication is not a courtesy, it is how a programme holds. The rest is detail, and the detail is the work.
That standard carried RACE through towers, villas, banks, restaurants, factories and a military headquarters in Lebanon, and into design collaborations reaching New York, Limassol and Dubai.
In 2019 RACE-Africa opened in Abidjan. Street lighting, rural electrification, the Félix Houphouët-Boigny stadium and the Riviera development followed, and owners began asking RACE to take on complete projects. The company grew into a turnkey solutions provider — design-build and EPC, with the capacity to finance — and extended its operations to Yaoundé, Cameroon in 2025.
